A travel group—made up of 26 lay and clergy from the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church, including Bishop Tracy S. Malone—set out on an Educational Opportunities Tour on February 25, 2026, for a pilgrimage that would take us through the landscapes where the early Church took root and where the Apostle Paul carried the Gospel with courage and conviction. After flying from Chicago, Illinois, to Zurich, Switzerland, and finally arriving in Thessaloniki, Greece, on February 26, we met our wonderful guide Aliki and our skilled bus driver, Demetrius. We settled into the Porto Palace hotel and ended our first evening with a joyful celebration of Noah Maxwell’s 30th birthday.
